Recognizing Intonation

Recognizing Intonation is an educational CD that plays back intervals and chords in both Equal Temperament and Just Intonation. This allows the students to hear both an out-of-tune chord and one that locks in with all of the pitches properly spaced, for optimal tuning and sound quality. If a student has never heard good intonation then he will not be able to duplicate it consistently. It's as if an art student is asked to draw a tree, but she has never seen a tree before. How would she be able to draw it?

Recognizing Intonation is here to help you educate your students in how intervals and chords should be tuned and sound. This CD contains 31 different intervals and chords that you can playback for your students to hear, so they can hear both equal temperament tuning and just intonation tuning. Also included is a CD booklet that shows and describes how to tune each interval and chord to further enhance your students' ability to succeed with intonation.
